My Learning Agreement

This learning agreement is the plan that show my commitment towards the course of Web Development Bootcamp at EDA.
It is also an opportunity to let me engage and work as member of the web developer team that reflects the actual working software company environement.
It is also a good reflection tools for me to work out my weakness while exploring my full potentials.

My Strengths are:


1. I am a learned programming in the past, such as C++, pearl script, PLC programming language as well as some basic of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
2. I am a very resilent person, that won't give up so easily.
3. I work hard and when I am focus, I can learn very fast.
4. Have been in working in corp. outside New Zealand for many years and I am also an easy going person.
5. As a trained engineer, I have a great determination and problem solving skills.

My Limitations are:


1. I still need some extra time to help my family to settle down in Auckland as we just move here in less than 2.5 months ago.
2. Still facing some financial challenge that at times may become obvious distraction.

How am I balancing my workload through out this course?


1. Clear Written Plan - have a short term goal and set daily plan and work on the activities that will contribute towards the goals. Discuss the plan with facilitator weekly.
2. Commitment - Put first thing first, be a full time student, and deprioritise the others. Negotiate with family member to depiorities some of the activities and delegate the task to somebody else.
3. Distraction - Identify distraction, and work on a plan to avoid it. Stay focus.
4. Doing the right thing - programming needs a lot of PRACTISE! make sure I have set side few hours per day for practising coding rather than reading only.
5. Excercise - Keep the body healthy by eathing healthily, excercise regularly and have enough sleep.
6. Effective learning - set up a plan for effective learning.
7. Build a daily learning routine and made it becomes habit.

How and where will I seek help in a timely manner?


1. Identify and write the problem statement;
2. Solutions resources in this squence- google search, Code-help desk at Slack, Seek help from foundation/bootcamp class team member and facilitator.

What do I expect from the facilitation team?


1. Communication is the key. I need to know my areas of improvement and point out to me important things that need to pay attention or focus as a web developer.
2. Provide Good and sound advice. Advice on avoding mistakes that others have made.
3. Provide technical guidance when I am stuck.
